what's zkMe?
zkMe is a decentralized identity protocol utilizing zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) to verify user credentials without revealing personal information. It functions as a privacy-preserving KYC and compliance oracle, enabling on-chain proofs of attributes like identity, financial status, or activity while adhering to global AML regulations. This allows Web3 applications to integrate verifiable credentials in a fully decentralized manner, bridging pseudonymity with regulatory needs. The zkMe Network is a proprietary appchain designed as a general-purpose identity layer, supporting integrations with blockchains such as Aptos, ZetaChain, and Mantle.
