what's vibehouse?

Vibehouse is a community-driven Ethereum consensus client forked from Lighthouse version 8.0.1 after the Fulu upgrade. It preserves the stable core implementation of Lighthouse while prioritizing rapid shipping of updates, embracing occasional instability, and welcoming feature requests and contributions from anyone in the community. This "vibes-first" development approach aims to foster experimentation and quick iteration in Ethereum infrastructure. Primarily written in Rust under the Apache 2.0 license, vibehouse tracks upstream changes from sigp/lighthouse and ethereum/consensus-specs. It integrates multi-client testnets using Kurtosis for CI validation and supports standard Lighthouse documentation for setup and usage. Participation occurs via GitHub issues and PRs, enabling decentralized maintenance without a fixed dev team.
