FAKE RARES is a community-driven cryptocurrency art project built on the Counterparty protocol using Bitcoin's mempool for creating and trading Pepe-inspired NFT collectibles. It revives the spirit of the original Rare Pepes series by issuing limited-edition digital cards and artworks, often featuring memes and collaborations with artists in the crypto space. The project emphasizes decentralized issuance, physical exhibitions in cities like Miami and London, and a directory for official assets. Users create tokens via wallets like Counterwallet, binding them to artwork for authenticity. It positions itself as a pure, grassroots movement in the NFT and crypto art ecosystem.
