what's WaaP?

WaaP (Wallet as a Protocol) is a decentralized infrastructure protocol enabling developers to embed secure, self-custodial wallets directly into dApps without seed phrases, centralized custodians, or subscription fees. It employs a dual-share security model via Two-Party Computation (2PC), splitting the private key into a Sovereign Share—derived from user-specific inputs through the Human Network—and a Security Share held in a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). This ensures neither party can sign transactions alone, providing bank-grade protection against device compromise, phishing, and malicious dApps. Additional safeguards include on-chain policy engines for spend limits, contract allowlists, and multi-signature approvals; blind signing resistance through transaction simulation; and seamless one-click authentication using email, social logins, or biometrics. Supporting chains like Sui, Ethereum, and EVM networks, WaaP integrates with standard wallet standards (e.g., Sui dapp-kit), offers gas tanking for sponsored txs, auto-reconnect, and revenue sharing for builders. Upcoming Squid mode leverages Ika's MPC for fully distributed signing power.
