what's Regular Animals?

Regular Animals is an NFT art installation and collection created by digital artist Beeple (Mike Winkelmann). It features 10 animatronic robot dogs with heads modeled after figures like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Beeple himself. These sculptures roam, use cameras to capture surroundings, process images via AI algorithms, and "poop" out stylized, surreal prints—256 of which were released as free NFTs on-chain. The project critiques algorithmic control, machine perception, and tech influence on how we see the world. NFTs were airdropped for free at Art Basel Miami Beach (Dec 2025), with physical prints also available. Outputs are generated in real-time based on environmental inputs, blending physical installation with blockchain permanence for unique, on-chain "memories."
