what's PulsePlay?
PulsePlay is a decentralized betting platform designed for real-time micro-betting on individual sports plays, such as specific pitches or moments in games. It achieves sub-second settlement times using Yellow Network's state channels, which enable off-chain computation and on-chain finality for efficient, low-cost transactions. The protocol employs dual market making: a Liquidity Sensitive Market Scoring Rule (LMSR) for dynamic pricing based on liquidity and participant bets, alongside a peer-to-peer order book for direct matching of buy/sell orders. Built during ETHGlobal's HackMoney 2026 hackathon, PulsePlay targets the high-speed demands of sports wagering, allowing users to place instant bets without centralized custodians or slow block confirmations. This combination of state channels and hybrid market makers provides scalable, trust-minimized betting infrastructure suitable for live events.
