what's Pool Party by BASEMENT x Ryley-O?
Pool Party is a fully on-chain generative art NFT collection on Art Blocks, consisting of 777 unique pieces. Upon minting, 80% of the ETH is atomically swapped via Uniswap V3 into one of 13 curated ERC-20 tokens (e.g., WBTC, LINK, UNI, USDT), protected by Chainlink oracles against MEV. Over the token's lifetime, Chainlink Automation performs 12 price check-ins at randomized intervals, injecting real price data as on-chain PostParams that dynamically evolve the artwork's composition. The generative script, stored entirely on-chain, renders each NFT as a unique visual record of its assigned token's price history relative to ETH. After all check-ins, owners can withdraw the ERC-20 tokens by toggling a PostParam, permanently marking the decision in the artwork's provenance. Created by BASEMENT (@basement_xyz) in collaboration with Ryley-O (@RyleyOh), it exemplifies advanced use of Art Blocks' PostParams for live, DeFi-integrated art with genuine economic stakes.
