what's Please Respond?

Tyler Hobbs initiated Please Respond as a collaborative generative art experiment, inviting nine other artists to participate in a chain of creation. Starting with Hobbs' foundational algorithm-generated artwork, each subsequent artist inherits elements from the prior contribution and builds upon them to produce their own distinct iteration. This process fosters a unified yet evolving algorithmic lineage across ten unique outputs, emphasizing continuity and individual interpretation within a shared framework. The project's individual artist releases are planned as daily drops from May 6 to May 16, 2026, on the Shape platform, a network for onchain digital objects. Commemorative open-edition physical prints (6.4 x 8-inch), featuring custom signature stamps from all ten artists, will be available for purchase following the full digital release.
