what's PaintGlobal?

PaintGlobal is an on-chain art platform tailored for hackathon events, integrating physical NFC wristbands with blockchain for secure, sybil-resistant interactions. Participants create artworks in a workshop, upload them to IPFS for decentralized storage, and display them in a public gallery. A Tinder-like swipe interface enables community voting, verified by NFC signing on hackathon wristbands, generating a dynamic leaderboard based on likes and dislikes. Once verified, users connect wallets via WalletConnect, binding their on-chain identity to the NFC chip for one-time mapping. This allows minting artworks as NFTs and participating in English-style auctions, with bids settled automatically via smart contracts on testnets like ARC. The mobile-first Next.js frontend, powered by wagmi, viem, and Solidity contracts, seamlessly bridges physical creativity with decentralized ownership and marketplaces.

PaintGlobal was a top 10 finalist at the ETHGlobal Cannes hackathon.
