what's Mercle?

Mercle Network is a decentralized platform designed as an incentive distribution layer for blockchain ecosystems. It enables users to collect Proof of Contribution (PoC) attestations through MBADGES, which are NFTs that verify participation in testnets, tasks, and community activities across various protocols. These badges serve as a single source of reputation, bridging off-chain contributions to on-chain rewards once the mainnet launches. The project operates in a pre-incentivized testnet phase, where users mint MBADGES for interactions like holding testnet tokens, completing on-chain tasks (e.g., swaps, minting), or attending events in ecosystems such as zkSync, Taiko, Scroll, LayerZero, and Berachain. This creates a "House of Incentives" model, allocating tokens like $MRCL to reward early contributors and builders. Mechanically, Mercle uses attestations to track and verify user actions without relying on centralized scoring, fostering a merit-based system for airdrops and incentives. It aims to translate these NFTs into on-chain reputation scores, supporting modular blockchain growth by incentivizing cross-ecosystem engagement.
