what's Maki?

Maki is a hardware-signed onchain agent for everyday DeFi, built on the Pi platform. It supports full agentic capabilities including natural-language intent interpretation, multi-step reasoning, tool use, and protocol execution. The AI model handles intent and skills via prompts but never builds calldata, signs transactions, or accesses funds. Instead, tools invoke deterministic wallet-core and protocol adapters, with every write operation simulated, policy-checked, and rendered as a human-readable summary before hardware approval. Signing is isolated in a secure local signer over schema-strict IPC, using Apple Secure Enclave for smart accounts or Ledger for EOA paths. World AgentKit provides cryptographic proofs that the agent operates on behalf of a human-backed wallet. Live-tested on Sepolia for ETH transfers and Uniswap swaps via Trading API, emphasizing secure, human-approved onchain actions.
