what's Linera?
Linera is a Layer 1 blockchain protocol designed for real-time, agentic Web3 applications, emphasizing low-latency transactions and scalability for unlimited active users. It bridges Web2 and Web3 by enabling seamless, high-performance interactions suitable for DeFi, AI workflows, prediction markets, and metaverses. Linera's core innovation is its microchain architecture, where each user or application operates its own lightweight blockchain (microchain) with parallel execution. This eliminates global congestion, providing predictable low fees and instant finality through a multi-chain DAG structure validated by validators.
