what's Kleros?

Kleros is a decentralized dispute resolution protocol built on Ethereum, functioning as a blockchain-based court system. It enables parties to resolve disputes arising from smart contracts, DAOs, DeFi protocols, and other Web3 applications through crowdsourced adjudication. Jurors are randomly selected from a pool of PNK token stakers, who vote on evidence submitted by disputants, with economic incentives ensuring honest participation via slashing and rewards. The protocol employs game-theoretic mechanisms, including token curation for juror selection and multi-stage voting to minimize biases and collusion. Integrated with tools like Proof of Humanity for sybil resistance and Escrow for simple contracts, Kleros provides scalable, permissionless justice, adopted in areas like insurance claims, governance, and e-commerce on-chain.
