what's Keycard?

Keycard is an open-source hardware wallet designed for secure cryptocurrency storage and management. It utilizes NFC technology for contactless interactions, allowing users to sign transactions offline while keeping private keys isolated from internet-connected devices. The system supports a range of assets including Ethereum, ERC20 tokens, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, and Ripple, functioning as an HD BIP-32 wallet. Keycard integrates seamlessly with mobile and desktop applications, enabling air-gapped security through tap-to-sign mechanisms. The Keycard ecosystem includes the Keycard Shell, a modular device for managing multiple keys and seeds via swappable cards, and compatibility with wallets like Status. Built with an open API, it facilitates easy integration for developers and emphasizes user control with features like clear transaction signing to prevent phishing. All components are designed for transparency and security, with keys never leaving the hardware even during use on potentially compromised devices.
