what's Hermetica?
Hermetica is a DeFi protocol native to Bitcoin that issues USDh, a synthetic dollar backed by Bitcoin. It operates directly on Bitcoin L1 using PSBTs for minting and staking, bypassing L2s and altchains. The protocol employs a delta-neutral strategy with long and short BTC positions to capture funding rates from leveraged markets, distributing yield to holders. Users can stake USDh to mint sUSDh, a liquid staking token representing staked assets and accruing yield.
