what's HashCloak?
HashCloak is a cryptographic development project specializing in zero-knowledge (ZK) proof implementations for the Fuel virtual machine (VM). It provides libraries and verifiers written in Sway, Fuel's smart contract language, enabling developers to integrate advanced privacy and scalability features into decentralized applications on the Fuel network. Key contributions include the Ultrahonk verifier, which allows NoirLang circuits—used for ZK proof generation—to be executed and verified directly on Fuel. This bridges Noir's circuit design capabilities with Fuel's high-performance execution environment, supporting use cases like private transactions in protocols such as Haven. By focusing on on-chain verification of ZK proofs, HashCloak enhances Fuel's ecosystem with tools for confidential computing, reducing reliance on off-chain components and improving overall dApp efficiency and security.
