what's GobsOnApe?
GobsOnApe is a pixel art NFT collection built on the ApeChain blockchain. Created as a personal side project by James Hall, Head of Engineering at Yuga Labs (explicitly not Yuga-related), it pioneered novel minting mechanics and became the first fully on-chain NFT project on ApeChain. The collection features customizable gob characters with traits like white hair, fostering community engagement through minting, whitelists, and on-chain interactions. It serves as an experimental showcase for ApeChain's capabilities in NFT deployment and pixel art rendering.
