what's GIWA Chain?

GIWA Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain constructed using the Optimism (OP) Stack, developed by Dunamu, the company behind South Korea's leading cryptocurrency exchange Upbit. It is designed to deliver high-performance transactions with 1-second block times and ultra-low fees (approximately 1 KRW per transaction), while ensuring seamless interoperability with the Ethereum ecosystem. The chain supports EVM-compatible smart contracts, enabling developers to deploy and test applications efficiently. The GIWA Sepolia testnet serves as the primary testing environment, featuring tools such as faucets for testnet ETH, cross-chain bridges from Ethereum Sepolia, dedicated wallets, block explorers, and documentation for developers.
