what's Fridge?

Fridge is a community-built, decentralized bridge protocol designed to connect the Fractal Bitcoin network to Ethereum's EVM ecosystem. It enables users to bridge native FB (Fractal Bitcoin) from the Fractal mainnet to Wrapped FB (WFB), a fully backed ERC-20 token on Ethereum, facilitating cross-chain liquidity, DeFi participation, and broader utility for Fractal assets. The bridge operates through a transparent, on-chain verified process: users deposit FB on Fractal, which triggers confirmation and payout of equivalent WFB on Ethereum in a 1:1 ratio. Security is prioritized with 24/7 monitoring, encrypted sensitive data isolation, no custodial handling, and technical guidance from Fractal core developers. Future expansions aim to support additional Bitcoin-native assets like BRC-20 tokens and Runes.
