what's Crust Network?
Crust Network is a decentralized storage protocol built on the Substrate framework, providing secure, scalable data storage and sharing for Web3 applications. It integrates with IPFS and other decentralized technologies, enabling node operators to offer storage services through a marketplace model where users pay with the native $CRU token. The network uses a Proof-of-Committee consensus mechanism combined with storage proof verification to ensure data availability and integrity. $CRU is used for transactions, staking by storage providers and consumers, governance, and incentives, fostering a trustless ecosystem for dApps, NFTs, and DePIN use cases.
