what's Chonks?
Chonks is a fully on-chain customizable profile picture (PFP) NFT collection built on the Base blockchain, utilizing the ERC-6551 standard for Token Bound Accounts. This allows users to mint a base "Body" NFT and then collect and equip various "Traits" as separate ERC-721 tokens, enabling dynamic customization of their Chonk's appearance without altering the underlying smart contract. The project emphasizes on-chain composability, where Traits can be traded, shared, or combined across collections, fostering interoperability in the NFT ecosystem. Minting occurs through timed editions, with features like skin color changes, 2D/3D toggles, and background customization available via the project's website and marketplace.
