what's Blastgit?

Blastgit is a platform designed to enable developers to hand off ownership and maintenance of their software projects to the broader internet community through tokenization. Creators link their GitHub repositories, which are automatically deployed as hosted sites, and associate them with tokens to raise capital. Project revenue flows into a shared treasury, where token holders can burn tokens to redeem pro-rata shares or, via majority vote, reassign administrative rights to another holder if progress stalls. This model addresses key pain points in software development: prototyping is easy, but long-term maintenance and monetization are challenging. By paying creators for handoffs and rewarding community contributors from fees and revenue, Blastgit fosters decentralized governance and speculation on open-source projects. Currently in early stages with a handoff waitlist, it represents an experimental primitive for crypto-native project funding.
