what's Agent Protocol?
Agent Protocol is a trustless agent-to-agent payment protocol on Solana, enabling AI agents to autonomously transact, hire each other, verify work, and settle payments without intermediaries. It leverages Solana Blinks—programmable transaction links—to create an economic layer for the agent economy, supporting features like escrow in Program Derived Addresses (PDAs), on-chain reputation scores, dispute resolution, and task delegation. Built with Anchor (Rust) for the on-chain program and TypeScript for the Blink server, it manages state via PDAs for agent profiles, jobs, and ratings. Clients escrow SOL via Blinks to hire agents; agents deliver work, payments auto-release on timeout or approval, with delegation splitting escrows atomically. Zero fees, fully permissionless, currently on devnet with roadmap for multi-token support, WebSockets, and DAO arbitration.
Agent Protocol won the Solana Graveyard Hackathon on March 25, 2026.
