what's Aavescan?

Aavescan is an analytics platform dedicated to providing live and historical lending data for the Aave protocol. It displays key metrics such as deposit APRs, borrow APRs, total supplied amounts, and total borrowed volumes across various Aave markets on chains like Ethereum. Launched in 2021 and supported by a grant from the Aave Grants DAO, Aavescan serves thousands of monthly users including researchers, institutions, and media outlets like Bloomberg and Reuters. The platform sources data directly from Aave's on-chain smart contracts, including pool, oracle, and data provider contracts, using archive nodes for historical accuracy.
