what's Aavegotchi?
Aavegotchi is a decentralized gaming protocol built on the Polygon blockchain, integrating NFTs with DeFi elements from the Aave lending protocol. Players own and interact with Aavegotchi NFTs, which are animated ghost-like creatures representing staked Aave interest-bearing tokens (aTokens). These Gotchis have randomized traits influenced by their collateral and staking parameters, allowing for breeding, rarity-based gameplay, and customization through wearables. The ecosystem includes games like Gotchi Fudos (real estate on virtual land), Realm governance, and competitive modes such as Gotchi Wars. Users can stake the native GHST token for rewards, participate in DAO voting, and engage in a metaverse-like experience where Gotchis serve as avatars across applications. Security and ownership are ensured through ERC-721 standards and on-chain transparency.
