what's ADI Foundation?
ADI Foundation is an Abu Dhabi-based nonprofit organization dedicated to building trusted digital infrastructure through blockchain technology. Founded by Sirius International, the digital arm of International Holding Company (IHC), it aims to enable 1 billion people onchain by 2030 by addressing barriers like fragmented currencies and unbanked populations in emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East and Africa. The foundation develops ADI Chain, a modular, EVM-compatible Layer 2 blockchain engineered with AI-assisted protocol automation and GPU acceleration for high throughput, low fees, and near real-time settlement. It supports programmable compliance and integrates with ecosystems like ZKsync, serving as the base for a Dirham-backed stablecoin in collaboration with UAE institutions such as FAB, ADQ, and IHC, regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE. This infrastructure facilitates cross-border capital access for SMEs, mobile payments, and applications in DeFi, identity, healthcare, and sustainability.
